Notes on the use of relays

 1. Rated operating voltage: This is the voltage required by the coil for the relay to operate normally. Depending on the type of relay, it can be either AC voltage or DC voltage.

2. DC resistance: This is the DC resistance of the coil in the relay and can be measured by a multimeter.

3. Suction current: This is the minimum current at which a relay can produce a suction action. In normal use, the given current must be slightly greater than the suction current so that the relay can work stably. For the working voltage added to the coil, generally do not exceed 1.5 times the rated working voltage, otherwise a large current will be generated and the coil will be burned.

4. Release current: This is the maximum current that can be used to produce the release action of a relay. When the current of the relay is reduced to a certain level, the relay will return to the unenergised release state. The current at this point is much less than the suction current.

5. Contact switching voltage and current: This refers to the voltage and current that the relay is allowed to load. It determines the size of the voltage and current that the relay can control and cannot exceed this value when in use, otherwise it is easy to damage the contacts of the relay. With technology; refers to the fact that the coil in the relay will produce a very high inversion electromotive force if it loses current, which can easily damage the electronics controlling it. It is important to focus on the introduction of absorption circuits in the design of the circuit during use.
