The motor is the main driving force for the operation of the electric garage door. If the garage door motor fails, the electric garage door cannot be opened normally, and it can only be used manually. Therefore, once the garage door motor fails, it must be repaired in time.
Fault 1: The garage door motor clutch fails
Reasons for failure: 1. The motor separation shaft and sleeve are stuck; 2. The motor clutch is not lubricated or there is too much dust.
Remedy: adjust the stuck part and apply lubricating oil appropriately.
Fault 2: There is no sound when the motor starts, and there is a sizzling sound when running.
Causes of the failure: 1. The electromagnet is not closed; 2. The wire is loose or disconnected; 3. The relay is damaged; 4. The electromagnet is damaged.
Remedy: Pull out the two wires of the electromagnet and directly connect to AC220V. If there is any response, it means the connection or relay is damaged; if there is no response, the whole machine needs to be removed and returned to the factory to replace the electromagnet.
Fault 3: The garage door can only be up or down when it is running, and it will not move in the opposite direction.
Causes of the failure: 1. The limit of the garage door in the other direction did not bounce; 2. The connection was loose or disconnected; 3. The relay was damaged.
Remedy: 1. The garage door's limit in the other direction does not pop open, just repair the limit.
2. Facing the garage door opener, the left relay controls the door opening and the right one controls the door closing. Press and hold the corresponding control switch, and use a multimeter to measure the coil voltage on the corresponding relay. Normally it is around AC24V. If this voltage relay does not operate, this It means that the relay is damaged. If there is no such voltage, it means that the internal wiring is broken.
